Memindex / Built by DBAI
Your company already answered that.
The decision is in a thread. The reason is in an email. The implementation is in a pull request. DBAI built Memindex to bring those records into one place and answer with a path back to the evidence.
Open Memindex ↗The answer exists. Finding it is the work.
Company knowledge rarely disappears all at once. It spreads across conversations, inboxes and code until finding the answer takes longer than asking the question again. Search returns material to read; the team still has to reconstruct what happened.
Find the decision
Connect the discussion, the resolution and the implementation across their original systems.
Show the evidence
Make the source part of the answer so the reader can inspect the record.
Leave the gap visible
Treat insufficient evidence as a reason to acknowledge uncertainty rather than invent a conclusion.
From scattered records to a supported answer.
Ingest, distill, retrieve and answer form a continuous path from source material to cited synthesis.
- 01
Read
Workers and scheduled syncs bring approved Slack, email and GitHub material into the system. The supplied build describes edit and deletion handling and code chunking at function boundaries.
- 02
Condense
Distill a thread into its question, summary, resolution and references. Filter low-signal material before indexing it.
- 03
Find
Combine meaning-based and keyword retrieval, source routing and recency signals to find the records relevant to the question.
- 04
Cite or acknowledge the gap
Synthesize an answer with references to the supporting record. If the material does not support an answer, say so.
The citation is part of the answer.
A response is more useful when the reader can follow it back to the discussion or change that supports it. That is the product’s design rule, paired with an explicit acknowledgement when the available evidence is insufficient.
Every stage ends with something to inspect.
The published delivery process uses eight stages with visible checks, from read-only access scoping to an evaluation on fifteen of the team’s own questions. These are acceptance checks for a deployment, not reported results from an unnamed client.
- 01
Access & scope
Agree the read-only permissions and what stays outside the index.
- 02
Foundation
Verify repeatable migrations, a source registry and resumable ingestion.
- 03
First source & search
Search the team’s own material before adding more sources.
- 04
Live chat ingestion
Watch a thread become searchable, then check how an edit changes the entry.
- 05
Email
Review the noise filter’s decisions before the full backfill.
- 06
Answers, assistant & API
Inspect a cross-system answer and test a question the record cannot answer.
- 07
The team’s app
Check access and usability on a phone and a laptop.
- 08
Accuracy & handover
Score fifteen real questions, report the misses and hand over the runbook.
Keep the source close to the conclusion.
A knowledge product organized around traceability: a question leads to relevant records, an answer points back to them, and the team can inspect the sources and the system’s status.
The example’s supporting records
Both references below are invented illustrations supplied with the case-study draft.
A pricing-operations thread records a support escalation about billing confusion.
A related pull request reverts the pricing flag, connecting the discussion to implementation.
The same memory, in more than one interface
Web, REST API and MCP access make the retrieval layer available to people and compatible assistants. New source integrations still need connector work, permission design and validation. The shared pipeline gives that work a consistent destination.
A defined build. A flat operating fee.
The published standard offer covers three source systems. Pricing checked September 11, 2026.
$2,499
One-time setup
Discovery, access design, a three-system build, history backfill, accuracy evaluation, branded app, assistant integration, training and runbook.
$99 / month
Ongoing operation
Hosting, workers, monitoring, security updates, support and repeat accuracy checks. No per-seat pricing.
Model and embedding usage is billed at cost. Additional connectors are quoted per system. View current pricing ↗
